By using letterfrommydog.com, answering the questions or buying a keepsake, you agree to these terms. Please read them along with our privacy policy and refund policy.

1. Who we are

Letter From My Dog is an online, digital-only brand that creates personalized dog keepsakes and publishes a magazine for dog lovers. We don’t have a public office address or phone line. You can reach us by email at hello@letterfrommydog.com, or support@letterfrommydog.com for orders.

2. What we offer

You can answer six questions about your dog and receive a free personalized result and a short letter preview. You can then choose to buy:

• Our Story™ personalized digital storybook — $19
• Dog Movie Poster Pack™ — $4

All products are digital. Nothing is printed or shipped.

3. Personalized content created with AI

Your keepsakes are created from the details you share, with the help of generative AI. Because of that:

• Each keepsake is only as personal as the details you give us.
• Generated text and images may contain imperfections or mistakes.
• Storybook illustrations and posters are artistic interpretations of your dog and you, not photographic likenesses.
• For the storybook, clearly failed images (such as a missing dog, the wrong coat color or severe distortion) can be regenerated within a limited number of attempts.

4. Not a message from your dog, and not professional advice

A letter “from your dog” is a creative keepsake. It is not literal communication from your dog, and we don’t claim to know what any animal thinks or feels. Your free result is a playful interpretation, not a scientific test.

Nothing on our site — including our keepsakes and magazine articles — is veterinary, behavioral or training advice. For your dog’s health or behavior, please speak with your veterinarian or a qualified professional.

5. Your files and how you may use them

Once you buy a keepsake, you may download, print and share your own files for personal, non-commercial use. Printing at home or at a local print shop is absolutely fine, and so is giving your keepsake as a gift.

You may not resell our keepsakes or use them commercially — for example, selling prints or merchandise — without our written permission. Our site, brand, designs and templates remain ours.

6. Your uploads and details

When you share answers or upload photos, you confirm that:

• You own the photos or have permission to use them, including permission from anyone who appears in them.
• If a child appears in a photo, you are their parent or guardian or have that person’s permission.

You keep ownership of your photos and details. You give us a limited permission to use them only to create, deliver and support your order. We don’t publish your photos, show them in a public gallery or use them in marketing. See our privacy policy for more.

7. What you must not upload or request

Please don’t upload or ask us to create anything that is:

• Abusive, harassing, hateful or discriminatory.
• Sexual or sexually suggestive.
• Violent, or content that glorifies animal abuse or crime.
• A photo of another person used without their permission.
• Otherwise illegal or harmful.

If a request breaks these rules, we may refuse or stop generating it. If a child appears in a photo, what we create always stays family-friendly.

8. Original themes, not famous characters

Our posters and storybooks use original themes and styles that we create. We don’t imitate existing films, franchises, characters or brands. Please don’t ask us to include protected characters, logos, titles or artwork that belong to someone else.

9. Payments and pricing

• Prices are shown in US dollars before you buy, and each purchase is a one-time payment.
• There is no subscription. Nothing renews, and nothing is charged without you confirming it.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Your bank or card provider may charge its own fees, such as currency conversion.

10. Refunds

If a keepsake fails to generate, isn’t delivered or its images clearly fail, we will fix it or refund you. Accidental duplicate purchases are refunded too. The details are in our refund policy, and nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

11. Delivery and generation times

Keepsakes are generated after your payment is confirmed, so they are not instant. The letter usually takes a few minutes; the storybook takes longer because every illustration is created and checked. Your files appear on your private keepsake page, and we send the link to the email you gave at checkout.

Please keep your private keepsake link safe. Anyone who has it can open your keepsake page.

We work hard to keep the site running, but it may occasionally be unavailable or slower than usual, for example during maintenance or when a service we rely on has problems.

12. Our responsibility to you

We provide the site and our keepsakes with care, but we can’t promise they will be perfect or available without interruption.

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses, and our total responsibility for any claim about a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that product. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer where you live.

13. If these terms are not followed

If someone uses our service in a way that breaks these terms, we may refuse to create content, stop generating an order or restrict access to the service.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. The terms in place when you made a purchase apply to that purchase.
